The 2024 annual program theme is Waging Peace. Learn why the Eisenhower Administration is known for its eight years of peace and prosperity.

Abilene, Kan. - The 2024 Evenings at Ease series kicks off on Tuesday, January 9 at the Eisenhower Presidential Library with a game night where participants will play Classic SimCity. The program begins at 7 p.m. in the Visitors Center Auditorium. Light refreshments will be served.

President Eisenhower believed prosperity was a precondition for peace at home and abroad. He also recognized that poverty, along with a lack of cultural understanding, often leads to conflict. Classic SimCity helps players understand decision making that is required to build a prosperous society. Each team will be appointed Mayor of their respective city with the goal of growing their city while maintaining essential services and budget needs.

The 2024 program series is made possible courtesy of the Eisenhower Foundation with generous support from the Jeffcoat Memorial Foundation.
